I worked one-on-one, in groups and lectured in community settings within two counties in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I brought programs to families, individuals, seniors, at the county jail, Department of Social Services, Head Start, Grade Schools, High Schools, Adult Education, Health Department, Mental Health Clinic, and other civic groups as requested. I yearly worked with children at the Summer Camping Programs and taught WI DNR Master and Jr. Angler Education. I also ran a booth at the County Fair bringing educational materials, games and worked with the 4-H youth. I also worked at the Laq vieux Desert Social Services Department bring programs to Native American Families and put on a yearly Babysitters Program where the youth learned about childcare, woodland safety and ended with a weekend spent at the Tribal Private Camp were we celebrated with Trial Elders telling Native Stories. There were so many things my job entailed that I just don't have room to list them all. It was a very rewarding career. I took my retirement after leaving MSU.
